Each member is provided with an official Trial Masters certificate that memorializes their membership with Trial Masters.

Who can apply?
Trial Masters member base has a wide variation in expertise, ranging from solely plaintiff to solely defense, and solely civil to solely criminal work. Some member’s practices are a meld of the aforementioned case types – the common thread is wherewithal in a courtroom and the experience of seeing many trials through to verdict.
Trial Masters is represented in all 50 states and Washington, D.C., and the membership is growing daily.
PLAINTIFFS AND DEFENSE BARS WELCOME:
Membership is open to both the plaintiff and defense bars. While each bar certainly has different perspectives on trials, objective trial experience is the basis for membership.
Membership is available regardless of whether a judge or jury was the trier of fact in your trials.
Are you eligible?
1. ETHICS RECORD
Applicants must be current members of a governing bar association and shall possess an exemplary ethics record. Any disbarment or suspension, from the practice of law, even if reinstated, is a basis for disqualification.
2. TRIAL BENCHMARKS
Applicants must certify that they have achieved certain trial benchmarks as principal counsel.
“Principal Counsel” is a lawyer who is, or was primarily in charge of and responsible for the preparation, management, and trial of an individual case. Said term shall not be confined to lead counsel (“first chair”), but may extend to a team of lawyers working as co-principal counsel on the case with different responsibilities. Notwithstanding the foregoing, however, the term does not include a lawyer that simply worked on one aspect of the case, or referred a case.
